摘要
The article deals with the influence of various mixtures of ethanol and gasoline on the engine output parameters. Experimental measurement was carried out with vehicle Fiat UNO 1.0 IE. The car engine was not adjusted to operate on ethanol. The measurements were realized using chassis dynamometer in the laboratories of the Department of Engineering and Automobile Transport at Mendel University in Brno. Based on the results, it can be concluded that combustion of fuels containing greater amounts of ethanol is not accompanied by a significant drop in torque and engine output. On the other hand, fuel consumption increases with the increase of ethanol ratio in the mixture. As a result of oxygen content in ethanol, lean mixture is combusted and the control unit thus adjusts the amount of injected fuel, but, as the results also show, the control unit does not allow an increase in the amount of fuel above the allowed limit that is determined by the maximum size of long term correction.
