摘要
This work presents a quadrature phase voltage controlled LC oscillator, which is capable of operating in the frequency range from 2.88 GHz to 3.77 GHz. The proposed architecture incorporates two free running oscillators, whose outputs are injected into each other for desired quadrature locking. The frequency tuning is achieved by variable capacitors. The proposed architecture is simulated in a 180 nm CMOS technology with a supply voltage of 1.8 V. Phase Noise performance is improved by quadrature-locking technique. The proposed oscillator has a phase noise of -142.42 dBc/Hz at an offset frequency of 1 MHz. Additionally, the designed oscillator achieves an FoM of 204.8 dB with a power consumption of 7.48 mW.
