摘要
Although the skin and the internal organs are the main targets of systemic sclerosis (SSc), the nervous system, which was considered secondary to the disease process, has been shown recently to be more involved. Few reports were available concerning the involvement of the nervous system until the beginning of this century when a case of localized scleroderma that developed cranial nerve injury was described. This article discusses more recent reports revealing the importance of the relationship between SSc and the nervous system on a primary level.
