摘要
The paper presents a model of a traction system and a method for optimization of electrical train energy consumption. The simulation model includes traction vehicles, traction substations and catenary for electric railways. The results obtained from the developed model were compared with the measurements in a traction system of 25 kV. The developed method for optimization of energy consumption is based on sequential quadratic programming. The method was first applied to the test case of a few sections, and then on real cases of energy consumption for passenger and freight trains. The obtained results show that by using this optimization method significant savings in energy consumption for traction supply can be achieved.
