The 1997 AAAI workshop brought together researchers concerned with fundamental issues of modeling action, those developing automated planning techniques and those attempting to implement autonomous agents acting in the world. The workshop focused on the three 'bots' including robots, softbots and immobots. These three bots are currently the focus of much discussion among AI researchers.
