Polymeric Ionic Liquid as High Temperature Stationary Phase for Gas Chromatography

摘要
A novel ionic liquid bonded polysiloxane ([PSOMim] [NTf(2)]) was prepared through synthesizing ionic liquid bonded stationary phase with Cl(-) and a anion exchange reaction to replace the chloride anion with bis [(trifluoromethyl) sulfonyl] imide (NTf(2)(-)) anion. The polymer was thermal stable and the thermogravimetric test indicated that the [PSOMIm] [NTf(2)] began to decompose slightly after 380 degrees C. Then a capillary tube (8 m x 0.25 mm i.d.) was coated by static method to prepare a gas chromatographic column. The chromatographic performance was evaluated and demonstrated. The result showed that the [PSOMIm] [NTf(2)] stationary phase exerted good selectivity and high thermal stability for Grob reagent mixture and many types of compounds. The present study suggests that the novel ionic liquid bonded polysiloxane stationary phase has a great potential for further study and application.
