Resonant Raman scattering and vibrational analysis of sexiphenyl reduced by organo alkaline compounds in polar medium

摘要
A systematic characterization by resonant Raman scattering was carried out on parasexiphenyl reduced by biphenyl or naphtyl sodium (or potassium) dissolved in tetrahydrofurane (THF). The vibrational analysis leads to the conclusion that a quinoid like structure builds up on this molecule as it was expected. Furthermore the enhancement of this structure modification depends on the presence or absence of THF.
