摘要:
Based on their specific geometries 3-dimensional plain-bearings are capable of handling loads in three directions. The possibility to achieve a unique hydrodynamic bearing solution offers high flexibility and can be designed specifically for the needs of the application. A method to describe the perfomance of these bearings will be presented. Furthermore the characteristics of these bearings will be discussed and some application examples will be shown in order to help engineers identify potential new uses for these novel machine elements.
