Magnetic properties of single crystals CuxZnyCrzSe4

摘要
From X-ray microprobe analysis the formula CuxZnyCrzSe4 (x + y + z approximate to 3) for the investigated single crystals was determined. The experimental data for the magnetization and the magnetic susceptibility, as well as their dependence on temperature and on the concentration of zinc in the external magnetic fields have been analyzed. The saturation moments for small zinc content are closer to CuCr2Se4. For higher zinc contents the magnetic moment increases to values closer to noncuprate spinels. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
