摘要
Free lime in fly ash from fluidized bed combustion is one of the major reason which drastically decreases the application of this ash as the additive to cement. Then the experiment was undertaken of free lime transformation in carbonate with the gaseous carbon dioxide. As a main goal of this study was the verification of the applicability of transformed fly ash from fluidized bed combustion as a mineral additive to cement and its influence onto mortar strength. The experiments have shown that the carbonation process is possible and the obtained product increase the compressive strength of cement mortar.
