摘要
A sparse direct solver for the electric field integral equation is demonstrated for electromagnetic scattering from perfectly conducting targets of fairly large electrical size. For the geometries considered, numerical experiments demonstrate that both the memory and CPU costs of the reported factorization algorithm are significantly less than those required for standard direct solution methods.
