Symmetry violation in fullerene crystals

摘要：

A new effect of the symmetry violation in fullerene crystals is predicted. It is shown that the symmetry of internal vibrations of the C-60 molecule increases from S-6 up to T-h (from C-2h up to D-2h) at the orientational phase transition in the pristine C-60 crystal and in the AC(60), A = K Rb, fulleride crystal. The orientational states of the Cao molecule rotating in the Fm3m crystalline phase are investigated on the basis of symmetry. The light scattering experiments are discussed.
