摘要
We propose a new approach to the evaluation of the serviceability of products made of titanium alloys with gas-saturated layers. According to this approach, the admissible relative increment of the surface hardness K depends on the phase and structural state of the metal and the ratio of the depth of the hardened zone l to the half-thickness of the metal l(0). We plot the dependences K = f (l/l(0)). The proposed method enables one to improve the serviceability of products as a result of the formation of gas-saturated layers with optimal values of the parameters.
