摘要
Vulnerability originally means the susceptibility of a system to damage. In civil engineering, structural vulnerability can be defined as the susceptibility of structural performance to local damage. This paper studied the quantitative analysis method on structural vulnerability. The proposed method bases on two parameters, the influence of damage scenario to structural performance, and the proportion of the damage scenario in the overall structural system. By using these two parameters, the vulnerability of a structure can be quantitatively evaluated for different damage degree under a certain damage scenario, or for different damage degree under different damage scenarios.
