Industrial art design is the perfect fusion of the superb level of industrial technology and artwork, so that products not only have the characteristics of industrial products, but also meet people's aesthetic needs for the things. Industrial product art design is a form of art design with industrial products as the main content. This form can not only meet people's needs for the characteristics of industrial products, but also can be expressed through artistic means, so that industrial products can be more beautiful and practical, and can satisfy people's own attributes and aesthetic tastes of industrial products. Dual needs. In this paper, the development and application of the internet of things and virtual VR technology for the artistic design of industrial products have a certain degree of scientificity and feasibility. Using virtual VR technology to design the shape, color, appearance, etc. of the designed product in a three-dimensional space at the same time, so that the quality and effect of the design can be quickly and accurately improved, so that the designer's design ideas will be more open. This article also analyzes and researches product image design and related technologies and methods. Through the use of computers, the internet of things and virtual VR technologies are placed in the artistic design of industrial products, and big data analysis and calculations are used to solve the difficulties in traditional design. The internet of things and virtual VR technology can not only make the artistic design of industrial products more precise and intuitive, but also innovate on the basis of traditional design, making the artistic design of industrial products more aesthetic.
