摘要
The fuel cell is the most efficient device for direct conversion of hydrogen energy to electricity. The technology is here in the form of state of the art ammonia processes and the alkaline fuel cell (AFC), the reliable power source in the Apollo spacecrafts and the space shuttles. Cost engineering analysis of ammonia plants converted to terrestrial AFC power plants indicates that such power plants are very competitive and should be given the attention they deserve.
