摘要
This paper presents the design of a 10:1 downscaled multi-transmit coil powered dynamic wireless electric vehicle charging (DWEVC) system for traffic intersection application. Design requirements are firstly analyzed and then a number of preliminary designs with different longitudinal lengths of the transmit coil is proposed. Critical coil parameters, in particular the mutual inductance are evaluated for these pre-designs by finite element analysis. Comparative studies are then conducted to investigate the sensitivity on key electrical parameters including the system efficiency, coil current, voltage, electromagnetic radiation, and the power converter capacity. Tradeoff of these parameters results a three-coil desing, based on which a 2.5 kVt prototype with one segment is deployed. Dynamic charging experiments on this prototype indicate an overall system efficiency of 88% at the wireless gap of 10.5cm.
