摘要
Welding is one of the most popular process of joining two metals or materials because of high efficiency and low time requirement. There are many types of welding processes available some are costly and some of them are low cost process, some welding processes have low deposition rate and some of them provide high deposition rate. Optimizing process parameters can preserve large amount of energy and also reduces cost. In this paper, submerged arc welding (SAW) process parameters have been optimized. Total five input parameters current, wire feed rate, voltage, welding speed and standoff distance were optimized by Taguchi optimization method at two levels on the basis of two output process parameters tensile strength and hardness.
