摘要
We propose and experimentally demonstrate the fabrication of long period gratings on the SMF using the electricarc technique. By monitoring the transmission spectrum of the LPG, a deep notch over 16 dB was achieved within the operation wavelength band. Exploiting the point by point inscription method, p-phase-shift LPFG was achieved with a bandpass centered within two big notches. The proposed method has many advantages such as compact structure, cost-effective.
