Dispersability of some vat dyes and azo pigments is defined, measured and correlated with the calculated hydrophobicity. Aggregation degree in aqueous dispersions of these pigments stabilized by dispersants is also determined. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
