A new species Spatulaphorus altaicus sp. nov. (Acari: Pygmephoridae) collected from under the elytra of scarab beetle Geotrupes baicalicus Reitter (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae) is described. A key to species of the genus Spatulaphorus of the world is provided.
