摘要
This paper is about applying the Semantic Web to information management in the water sector (the management of surface water). This sector is especially characterized by large volumes of information and great diversity in types of information. Semantic Web technology has been applied to EAI (enterprise application integration) and to information and knowledge management. This case study, done within the Netherlands governmental water sector, leads to the conclusion that Semantic Web technology is still not mature enough for EAI but already is a valuable option for information and knowledge management.
