Over the past few decades, the concept of business logistics management has been in the burning interest because of its potential power to increase distribution efficiency and work convenience. Inefficient and unaffordable logistics processes prevent business from responding to the demands of recent markets characterized by rapidly changing information technology, and global competition. In this paper, we introduce E-Logistics Platform as an e-business application, which combines the conventional business processes models with the up-to-date information technologies. The platform electronically connects business customers with transport companies and other stakeholders, and also provides information exchange functions among those participants. To achieve these goals, business process automating function must be integrated into the platform, since it is an essential component for coordinating inter-organizational information and data flows. Therefore, our objectives are 1) to propose the architecture of E-Logistics Platform and describe the functional components, and 2) to arrange the requirements of business process automating component, and finally 3) to present a conceptual design and a moderate scenario about logistics processes for validation.
