摘要
A new class of dielectric sheet antennas is presented based on transformation optics. Specifically, we successfully implement the transformation with a consideration of surface wave eigenmode properties, and carry out a practical perforated design by drilling holes to synthesize the required dielectric constants for their potential realization. The full wave simulation shows that our surface wave transformation lens antenna is capable of obtaining a greatly improved directivity, while maintaining the original low profile.
