摘要
A planar dual-polarized ultra wideband phased array with wide scan and low profile is proposed in this work. The design of the array is based on the concept of tightly coupled dipole array. However, this work employs a novel structure on antenna and balun which enables simple fabrication. Moreover, a resistance ring is involved to achieve a 0.095 lambda(low) profile since the ring with SMD resistors weakens the ground effect. The array with 6:1 bandwidth exhibits an active VSWR<3.0 at broadside and VSWR<3.5 at =45 degrees in the azimuth plane.
