摘要
Power quality is one of the main subjects in modern electrical distribution systems. Harmonic pollution can influence power quality in a bad way. Nonlinear loads are the main source of harmonic pollution and the most efficient way to reduce harmonic pollution is filtering harmonic current of nonlinear loads. Active power filter can compensate harmonic currents more significantly than passive filters. This paper analyzed the operation of shunt APFs in the presence of resonance. Simulation results on a modified 18-bus IEEE power system showed that the presence of resonance can cause bad operation of shunt APFs.
