摘要
Anabolic androgenic steroids (MS) are performance enhancing drugs commonly used by athletes and bodybuilders to improve appearance and athletic capability. Unfortunately, these testosterone derivatives can be associated with serious and potentially irreversible side effiects, and can impact multiple organ systems. It is important that physicians be familiar with these adverse consequences so that they can appropriately counsel patients whom they suspect of AAS-abuse. In this chapter, we will review the negative effects of these compounds on various organ systems in men using AAS. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
