Economic Analysis of Traffic Congestion in Beijing

In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standard, the increase of family consumption vehicles leads to the huge demand and insufficient supply of vehicles, which makes the contradiction between urban roads prominent. With the rapid development of Beijing, the larger the city built, the higher the building built, the unit of space to accommodate increasing population density, to absorb and carry the population will be more and more traffic must be more intensive, space will More and more limited, traffic congestion will be a long-term and more difficult to solve the problem. Alleviate traffic congestion is an inevitable requirement to protect and improve people's livelihood, but also a positive response to China's promotion of sustainable development ([1]). Although Beijing Municipal Communications Commission and other relevant departments take lots of countermeasures to Beijing's congestion, it is difficult to solve traffic congestion problems of Beijing. In this paper, the traffic congestion in Beijing as the object using the basic principles of economics, from the supply and demand, its externality and other aspects of the road to study the causes of owner.
