Preparation of solid acid SO42-/Fe2O3-SiO2 by stearic acid method and preliminary study on its catalytic activity

摘要
Fe2O3-SiO2 mixed oxides were prepared by stearic acid method for the first time. After being impregnated by H2SO4 solution and calcined at a certain temperature, the mixed oxides formed a solid acid. The samples were characterized by XRD, TEM, N-2 adsorption/desorption and TG-DTA methods. The results showed that with the increasing of SiO2 content the specific surface areas of Fe2O3-SiO2 mixed oxides increased significantly, but the porous sizes decreased. The catalytic activities of the solid acid, catalysts were evaluated by esterification of acetic acid and butanol.
