摘要
Network Simulator (NS3) tool is an event driven simulator and it is simple to utilize this tool for wireless network. In Wireless network energy consumption is the main issue, where energy is drained by the node while transmitting data. Nodes are typically not connected to the infrastructure and should consequently undergo as long as possible without recharging. The pervasiveness of wireless networks in our every-day life is irresistible. Wireless networks cannot only be used to handily access the internet but they also enable new region of application. There is an assortment of constraints for the design of wireless nodes, many of them depending on the application. Furthermore, the nodes should be small and low priced. Since small and cheap nodes usually are not operational with a large battery, the used algorithms must ensure to conserve as much energy as possible. Since communication consumes a foremost part of the energy used by a sensor node, it is important to communicate efficiently. Communication in wireless networks has been a major field in research over the past years. In this paper, we focus on energy consumption and topology control algorithms. The aim of topology control is, to compute a subset of all possible communique links that allow communication such that energy is preserved and interference is minimized In NS3 the energy framework is existing with many energy source models. So in this paper we investigated the performance of routing protocols (AODV, DSDV) with the energy models.
