Hydrothermal deposition of Cu2OAg nanoparticles co-sensitized TiO2 nanotube arrays and their enhanced photoelectrochemical performance

摘要
Cu2O-Ag nanoparticles were successfully deposited on the surface of TiO2 nanotube arrays (TiO2 NTs/Cu2O-Ag) by the one-pot hydrothermal method, and the visible light response, photoelectric conversion and photoelectrocatalytic properties of TiO2 NTs/Cu2O-Ag prepared with different Ag+ concentrations were investigated. The results indicated that the TiO2 NTs/Cu2O-Ag (0.05) photoelectrode showed the optimal photoelectrochemical performances, and the excellent photoelectrochemical activity was ascribed to the high solar absorption and effective electron transportation. Moreover, the active groups for the photodecomposition of dyes were explored, and the mechanism for the pollutant removal was tentatively proposed. The hydrothermal prepared Cu2OAg nanoparticles on TiO2 NTs would be attractive for the waste water purification and solar energy transformation.
