摘要
The purpose of this study is to highlight the impact of sustainable development practices to improve the performance of port. The multifaceted systems of seaports and the activities around them generate major environmental impacts. Environmental sustainability has been receiving increasing attention by scholars and operators. The main objective of this study is to develop a multidimensional model of port performance taking into account economic, social, and environmental indicators as effective measures for enforcing and encouraging sustainable port development. We examine the environmental management strategies that can reduce the ecological footprint in the case of the Port of Agadir in Morocco and identify the most significant environmental aspects of this seaport. The sustainable balanced scorecard is an appropriate support to integrate sustainable development issues in port.
