摘要
In this paper, image fusion technology is narrated, including the theories of Gaussian pyramid decomposition, Laplacian pyramid decomposition, the contrast pyramid decomposition and the method of reconstruction. The main process of contrast pyramid image fusion algorithm is described emphatically. The method of contrast pyramid is adopted to decompose original images. Some common fusion rules are studied and on this basis, a contrast pyramid image fusion rule based on local energy and image gradient is proposed. In order to verify the feasibility of the fusion rule proposed in this paper, experiment is implemented using MATLAB simulation compared with the other three fusion rules in some common objective evaluations, and the conclusion is that the fusion rule we proposed can get better results than the other three.
