摘要
This article seeks to appraise the state of the art of the intellectual development of social entrepreneurship (SE) scholarship in the Greater China Region. We conducted a scoping review and critically analysed 46 peer-reviewed articles published on SE in the Greater China. Overall, we found that the Greater China SE scholarship lacks novelty and follows the similar 'style and taste' of SE research in the West. As a remedy, we propose a new framework for SE research by, among others, broadening the scope of SE, localizing theoretical lenses and concepts, and exploring new contexts.
