摘要
Under the top-down grant, a group of research team in University Malaysia Pahang has come up with an idea to build a Motorized Battery Operated Vehicle (MBOV). MBOV is a platform for new researchers at University Malaysia Pahang to establish their skill, confidence and team-working spirit in completing such a challenging and taxing work. This paper presents the development of power consumption modelling for Proton Savvy using torque analysis to achieve 45mph vehicle top speed when converted to electric vehicle. Based on Savvy technical specifications, energy consumption required for vehicle movement then calculated and analyze. The analysis suggests that required top speed of the MBOV can be achieved by cross checked the characteristic curve obtained from the power consumption modelling and motor characteristic curve.
