Adolphe Gesche, the Belgian theologian, proposes a systematic reflection of theology in an up to date work where he developes the mystery of God and man in seven volumes. From his theological approach he appeals to art, literature, psychology and philosophy. He discusses and takes the best of these specialties and disciplines to understand reality more deeply. Ricoeur is certainly the bedrock in Gesche's work. This paper will only approach the first issue about the sacramental revival, as a theological concept, in dialogue with Ricoeur's reenactment. And finally, in a second step, we underline the importance of the theory of triple mimesis when it comes to understanding the development and establishment of evangelical testimony.
