摘要
Activated carbon was prepared from rice husk char by leaching with K2CO3 after CO2 activation, and its CO2 adsorption capacity, kinetics and regeneration were investigated. The results showed that the prepared activated carbon had a dual pore structure of micro-pores and meso-pores with specific surface area, micropore volume and mesopore volume of 1097 m(2)/g, 0.34 cm(3)/g and 0.49 cm(3)/g, respectively. The prepared activated carbon exhibited an excellent CO2 adsorption capacity and a good CO2 selectivity. The CO2 uptake and selectivity were 3.1 mmol/g and 7.6 at 25 degrees C, respetively, which were comparable to those of activated carobns prepared by chemical activation using KOH as an activator. Besides, the prepared activated carbon showed a fast CO2 adsorption kinetics and an excellent recyclability.
