ONLINE COLLABORATIVE SYSTEM FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE IN ROMANIAN HIGHER EDUCATION (QACOS)

This paper tries to optimize and increase the efficiency of the curent evaluation process inside the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS). Due to the proposed system, the objectives of ARACIS can be easily reached because a real culture of quality will be created for the Romanian academic system by providing transparent and reliable means to access the documents and to monitor the current status of the evaluation process. For system development, it was realised a detailed analyse of present state regarding the informational data flows between ARACIS and universities. On the other hand, it is important to keep close the national academic level and also the european one (Europeean Network for Quality Assurance - ENQA and European Quality Assurance Register - EQAR). In order to implement an electronical management system for documents there were considered all the responsabilities of the actors involved in the evaluation process.
