Direct determination of pyrethrins in pyrethrum extracts by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection

摘要：
A simple, rapid method for the direct determination of six pyrethrin esters in pyrethrum extracts by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection has been described. The separation of the six esters was based on a binary mobile phase optimization, temperature control and the use of a C-8 octyl column with 5-mu m particles. Diode array detection and quantitation were selectively performed at 230 and 240 nm. The method demonstrated acceptable linearity, specificity, limit of sensitivity for the determination of six pyrethrin esters in pyrethrum extracts.
