摘要：

The International Symposium of Green Manufacturing and Applications (ISGMA) 2012 was successfully held in Jeju Island, Korea from 27 to 29, August 2012. In this Symposium, the topics of green manufacturing such as design and manufacturing of sustainable products, energy saving and pollution/waste reduction in manufacturing processes, energy/environmentally-friendly materials, and new/renewable energy systems were discussed As a perspective on green manufacturing and applications, several issues are drawn for energy and material savings as well as exploration to new technologies.
