Evaluation Method of Suppliers Based on the Rough Sets Theory

The supplier evaluation relates the standard of service, price control ability, quality guarantee ability, managing ability, environment, administration and culture and so on in supply chain management. Every aspect includes many indexes with obvious difference in attribute, handling expedience and effect. Generally, these differences have not been considered during the period of the index chooses, and a part of index is chosen to carry out evaluation based on the subjective wish. Therefore, this evaluation often is unscientific and inefficacy. This paper has structured the evaluation indexes of supplier, using the reduced method of rough sets theory, and a model of supplier evaluation is obtained. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the application of the method.
