Quantum interference and diffraction in the phase space

摘要
It is shown that a coherent superposition of N squeezed states leads to a photon number distribution P-n that is analogous to the classical result of interference and diffraction. The oscillations in P, coincide with those obtained in the classical N-slits diffraction with a form-factor given by \[n/psi]\(2){sin(2n phi(n))/sin(2 phi(n)}(2). Illustrative examples of particular superpositions are considered.
