摘要
The need of the hour is an economically viable energy storage system which proclaims the importance of MOF nanofibers. MOFs represents crystalline porous materials that are proficient in energy storage and conversion but on account of scarcity on interconnectivity between the porous structure and easy agglomeration, the electron transfer would be hampered so the electrospinning technique can be introduced. In electrospinning nanofibers are drawn at high voltage from viscoelastic fluid, which can be integrated with MOFs to resolve the in-compatibility issues between them and to form MOF/polymer composite which have the peculiarities of both such as active sites, surface area, and flexibility that boost electrical conductivity. Nanofibers coordinated with MOFs for energy storage and conversion are not much reviewed, since it's a new insight. Convenient electrode material and electrocatalyst are requisite for energy storage and conversion which can be accomplished by electrospun MOF-based nanofibers. Firstly, we discuss the different methods to fabricate MOFs with electro-spinning. Calcination of it can direct the generation of carbon-derived products, which improves the inter -connectivity and electrical conductivity that enhances the electrode performance. In subsequent sections, the hydrothermal reaction which leads to the unification of metals or metal oxides with MOFs that stipulates more functionalities, and then-recent advancements in energy-storing devices like SCs, LIBs, SIBs, and fuel cells are also conversed. Lastly, some unfolded areas in this field are pointed out which could head the future research.
