Chiral coordination polymer as a luminescence sensor for small organic molecules

摘要
The new coordination polymer {[Cd-2(bptc)(H2O)(6)]center dot 2H(2)O}(n), where H(4)bptc is 3,3',5,5'-biphenyltetracarboxylate, has been synthesized hydrothermally and characterized. In this complex, bptc(4-) as tridentate ligands connect the Cd2+ cations to form a chiral 2D layer, which crystallizes in the ortho-rhombic chiral space group C222. The compound exhibits the properties of luminescence sensor for organic molecules.
