摘要
For P2P systems, one of the key challenges is to motivate peers to contribute to the system by sharing authentic files. Since the peers differ from each other in the quantity and quality of services they provide for the system, service differentiation is necessary for the sake of fairness. In this paper, a multidimensional contribution-based service differentiation mechanism is proposed. We first introduce the definition of multidimensional contribution. Second, we propose a service differentiation mechanism to provide services for various peers. Finally, we analyze the performance of the mechanism in terms of the availability, the fairness, and the reliability by simulation. The results show that the proposed mechanism increases fairness of P2P system by clustering peers with similar contributions together and improves the effective download rate of P2P system by encouraging user to check and share authentic content responsibly.
