摘要
Political activity has always been cast as part of reality in an organization which may cause both detrimental and beneficial effect. By using the data from 103 employees from various organizations in Bandung & Jakarta - Indonesia this research tries to examine the relationship between employee's Perception of Organizational Politic and Organizational Commitment. This research also examines the moderating and mediating role of Emotional Intelligence and Trust between the relationship of Perception of Organizational Politics and Organizational Commitment. The result found that the higher employee's perception of organizational politic the lower the employee's organizational commitment, and trust. Conversely, the higher the employee's trust the higher the organizational commitment. Trust was also found to become the mediating variable for the relationship between perception of organizational politics and organizational commitment. Likewise, emotional intelligence proved able to moderates the relationship between the two variables. (C) 2013 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
