摘要
During the event of sacrococcygeal anesthesia and the progression of its symptoms, the intradural extramedullary (IDEM) tumors in lumbar cord can be observed by radiologic studies. In our paper, we examined a 64-year-old patient who underwent laminoplastic laminotomy at the L1-L3 level and overall removal of the tumor. Lumbar magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was then used to measure the IDEM mass. Postoperatively, hypesthesia was improved up to 50%. Our histology examination showed that the IDEM tumor characterized by a metastatic cancer originated from lung adenocarcinoma. These are very rare cases of lung adenocarcinoma metastasized to the cauda equina. Furthermore, we also reviewed the data from previous articles on IDEM cauda equine spinalmetastasis of lung cancer.
