Dialogues between Concept Theory and knowledge organization in Archival science: a sistematic review

Understanding the organization as a mediating process between the production and the access and use of records and the information they carry, this work addresses the relations of Archival Science with Information Science. The transversality with Knowledge Organization is the starting point, beginning with the studies of one of its basic theories: the Concept Theory. Therefore, a Systematic Review was carried out, using as empirical field databases on Information Science and proceedings of international and national events of the International Society for Knowledge Organization. Results demonstrate that in the scope of archival knowledge organization, the presence of Concept Theory is still shy, being used both as an analysis method of Archival Science concepts as well as a foundation for the construction of more complete knowledge organization systems for archival knowledge.
