摘要
Rapid advancement in health care technology and wireless communication emphasis on miniaturization of electronic devices. This paradigm shift in technology has enabled the implantation of sensor network in, on and off the human body for monitoring health parameters (e.g. heart beat, temperature, oxygen saturation, blood pressure) of the patient. Such a network which uses unguided medium of propagation is stated as wireless body area sensor network (WBASN) or sometimes simply wireless body area network (WBAN),In this paper we discuss about the various WBAN standards and their sub groups, routing protocols and impact of path losses. It also offers many applications like global health care profession, sports, fashion, entertainment etc in real-time and also periodic signal monitoring.
