摘要：

Freshwater resources availability in the Republic of Belarus is analyzed. Many-year trends in the use of water resources in the country's economy are revealed in the context of macroeconomic characteristics, and a forecast of water use is given. Factors determining the current freshwater quality and their possible state in the future are considered. Measures are proposed, facilitating sustainable development of freshwater resources.
